Remember, if you are part of a local, regional or national group that has an interest in seafarer welfare in ports, then it is likely that you already operate a welfare board as defined in MLC, 2006. If you meet regularly and have representation from three different stakeholder groups than you can be formally recognised as a welfare board just by registering with Port Visitor.
