Bronze ports provide seafarers’ welfare information and a designated Seafarer Port Welfare Liaison.
 
Silver ports provide seafarers’ welfare information, a designated Seafarer Port Welfare Liaison, operate a Welfare Board or Committee, provide ship welfare visits and port transportation.
 
Gold ports provide seafarers’ welfare information, a designated Seafarer Port Welfare Liaison, operate a Welfare Board or Committee, provide ship welfare visits, port transportation and access to a seafarers’ centre or local equivalent.
